Etymology of the Name
GULLA
noun — A goulash of money
A name created by Grand Gulla himself, representing a creative blend of hustle, investment, and abundance.
The Creative Mindset
Grand Gulla always had a creative mindset on building new ideas. It all started with a love for music and learning everything about it — how to write a song, mix a record, create album covers, and market them to the world.
Investing in himself was key to success, working hard every day towards it. Now Grand Gulla has his own brand called $@LUTE that provides all kinds of creative merchandise, and a music library that is making him an indie artist on the rise!
From the Streets of Seattle
The main source of outlet was hand-in-hand selling CDs on the streets of Seattle every day — asking for donations after explaining what each album was about. Grand Gulla got so much love from the city.
When it came to the Internet, he was already buzzing. Staying consistent — doing shows and posting on a regular basis to keep building the base. The hustle never stopped.
"To reach more people in the world, I knew I had to find an outlet that could reach the masses. On Instagram, I was using 25 hashtags and tagging 20 people on every post, using all the trending quotes and tagging record labels and radio stations till I connected with shows and festivals around the United States."
Keeping It Original
To keep the music original from the beginning, Grand Gulla writes songs without beats and matches them up later — putting true feelings into the music. Of course inspired by many in the industry, but always keeping authenticity at the forefront.
